Paranoia!

With only 2 days to go for the Liverpool Half Marathon I know I'm supposed to be resting... but I can't help feeling the need to run, I'm scared my body will seize up from lack of excersise. I ran a very shot 2.7m, with a moderate speed of 8:00 mins per mile just to keep my body ticking over Winking

How paranoid am I?

Steady 10k

Getting close to race day now, I'll probably only run one more time.

Just got a reply from the NYC Marathon people, apparently I made a mistake in giving my official half marathon records during my application. I had entered 2008 instead of 2007 for my Great North Run entry.

Oops.. Winking

Start spreading the news...

Applications for the New York Marathon came online today, did I apply? Of course! The results for overseas applicants will be anounced mid May, wish me luck!

The actual race is not until November 08.

11 Miles...

Today was the day for my long run, I ended up doing 11 miles (yet to update my Nike+ Stats). Felt surprisingly good afterwards, legs felt sore but fitness levels felt great! It's time to wind down my runs for this week in preparation for the Liverpool Half Marathon on Sunday. I might just do one or two runs before the big race. Must remember to stock up on carbs & water 2 days prior.

Back to Normal!

I felt good running home from work today so I decided to take a little detour and extend the run slightly, hamstring niggle well and truly shaken off now. Shaved about 6 seconds off my average pace per mile. Need to rest my legs now for Sundays LONG run. Gasp

Hamstring Update

Just ran 10k after a 2 day break (View: Run Stats). It was a slower pace than the usual, hamstring feels absolutely fine, I'm glad I took the rest now. Feet feel a little sore/soft... need to toughen them up!

Hamstring Niggle

I haven't been running for the last couple of days, I've got a hamstring niggle in my right leg... I'm soooo tempted to run but don't wonna risk anything so close to the Liverpool Half Marathon! I'll attempt a slow 10k tomorrow.

I've just got my race number and timing chip, now it feels real.

500 Miles!

No, not that catchy Proclaimers song! I've just been awarded a certificate by Nike for clocking over 500 miles... like the song says, can I do 500 more? Happy
